On Wednesday, February 23, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with representatives of big business in Kyiv

Apart from the head of state and entrepreneurs, the meeting was also attended by: Chairman of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak, Prime Minister Denys Shmigal, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Ivan Bakanov, Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
The President outlined the security situation as frankly as possible, shared the plans of the authorities in case of different scenarios, and promised full support for Ukrainian business from all state bodies.
He also assured that Ukrainian diplomacy is working as closely as possible with world leaders and is making every effort to de-escalate the situation peacefully.
At the same time, Defense Minister Reznikov expressed confidence in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies, the readiness of the Ukrainian authorities and society for any development of the situation.
In turn, the businessmen assured that they would support Ukraine in resisting Russian aggression and confirmed their intentions to actively invest in the Ukrainian economy.
Also, big business stood up for small business who operate as FOP (Ukrainian abbreviation for “private entities-entrepreneurs”). The participants stated that small entrepreneurs are those of whom "the million of active Ukrainians on whom a lot rests" consists, and that their voice should be heard in the future.
As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to create a working group that would involve businessmen, which should submit proposals to the authorities regarding legislative initiatives to develop the economy.
The meeting participants were: Gennady Korban, Boris Kolesnikov, Serhiy Tigipko, People's Deputy Serhiy Taruta, Viktor Pinchuk, Vasyl Khmelnytsky, former CEO of Microsoft in Ukraine Dmitry Shymkiv, CEO of Concorde Capital Ihor Mazepa, CEO of DTEK Maxim Timchenko, MP Vadim Novinsky, the owner of the WOG filling station network Stepan Ivakhov, people's deputy and Kharkiv businessman Alexander Feldman, co-founder of the construction company Stolitsa Group Vlada Molchanova and others.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a meeting on the top 50 Ukrainian big business on February 23. He stressed that business should remain with Ukraine to protect the economy, create jobs, and strengthen the country.
